Katy is a registered Nurse and Nutritional Therapist, with an academic and clinical background spanning evolutionary and medical anthropology, adult nursing, public health nursing and behaviour change, nutritional therapy, fertility nutrition, and multi-modal coaching.
She has over 10 years clinical experience in the arena of Women’s Health, starting her career as a gynaecology nurse before moving into public health as a health visitor for mothers and infants, and eventually leaving the NHS to focus solely on private practice.
Working with Katy involves a comprehensive health assessment using a root cause, systems-based approach. Together, you’ll join the dots between your symptoms, and close the gap between you and your health goals. Katy will search for underlying imbalances and root causes using testing where necessary, then use the power of nutrition, lifestyle and personalised supplements to assist the body to repair naturally. Where medical intervention is required or advised or if other complementary or integrative therapies may be of benefit, Katy will always refer back to relevant practitioners to ensure that comprehensive support is achieved.
Katy specialises primarily in the field of fertility and pregnancy, and more widely in all conditions that may impact women’s health. This includes ‘unexplained’ infertility, PCOS, irregular or painful periods, endometriosis and adenomyosis, fibroids, vaginal health, hypothalamic amenorrhoea, IVF preparation, recurrent miscarriage, pregnancy, postpartum and hormone imbalances including the perimenopause. Invariably there can be crossovers with all these conditions and wider metabolic and endocrine health, the immune system, and the gut. Katy will always work holistically to ensure that these intersections are accounted for.
Katy regularly undertakes training and updates her skills to fit the needs of her clients. Her most recent qualification in integrative change work enables her to utilise the power of the unconscious mind to support her clients in making positive changes, as well as manage stress levels and undo habits that aren’t serving them.
Alongside her clinic, Katy also supervises nutritional therapy students at the University of West London, is a clinical advisor and mentor for US based company FabFertile, and is a founding member at Fertility Nutrition Centre, also providing clinical support to practitioners undertaking the year-long ‘Making Babies Naturally’ programme. She writes regular articles for online publications such as Sheerluxe, BBC Good Food and Glamour.
Our 3-month nutrition package includes an initial consultation of 90 minutes with two follow-up consultations of 60 minutes and two catch-up calls of 30 minutes. Written personalised health plans with recipes and supporting information are provided. All sessions of the package must be taken within a 6-month period (any further sessions left at the end of this time frame will be null and void).
Please note that nutritional therapy is not designed to diagnose, treat or cure any disease. Nutritional therapy is about supporting the body’s resilience and whole person wellbeing, and we always aim to work collaboratively with medical services.
